Details have emerged about the latest Aston Martin V12 Vantage S, which features a brand new powertrain allowing it to reach speeds of 205mph.
With the exception of the One-77 hypercar, this Vantage S is the fastest road car ever built by Aston Martin. It features the company’s new 565bhp AM28 6-litre V12 engine as well as a new gearbox. The 7-speed SportshiftIII AMT (automated manual transmission) is a development of the unit found in the current V8 Vantage S, replacing a 6-speed option.
There are elements of the Vantage S inspired by race car technology, such as CNC-machined combustion chambers and hollow camshafts.
Prices and on sale dates are yet to be confirmed by the company, but expect the new car to cost from just under £140,000.
