Vauxhall has announced another model to the recently unveiled New Insignia range.
The Insignia Country Tourer is described as a ‘rugged SUV-inspired all-purpose estate’ and is based on the Sports Tourer model. Upgrades over the standard model include all-wheel-drive and a 20mm increase in ground clearance.
The new model will have two diesel engine options: a 2-litre bi-turbo with 192bhp and 400Nm of torque, and a standard 2-litre unit offering 163bhp and up to 380Nm of torque.
Boosting the car’s off-road capabilities, the advanced drivetrain incorporates an electronic limited-slip differential for improved traction. The system varies torque distribution between front and rear, as well as between the two rear wheels.
Prices and more details about equipment will be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show on 10th September.
