Nissan has announced its LEAF electric car is now available from £189 a month, a price that includes the lease of the battery (£70).
The offer is available to customers who choose the entry level Visia model, which is priced at £15,990 (after the £5,000 government grant), and Nissan calculates that the monthly fee is less than one would expect to pay for a month’s London congestion charge.
Nissan’s LEAF Flex lease deal is based on an initial deposit of £4,083, plus a £1,600 contribution from Nissan, and then 36 monthly installments of £189. The deal also applies to the LEAF Acenta and Tekna models, priced at £239 and £289 a month respectively.
The UK-built Nissan LEAF features more than 100 improvements over the previous model, and is exempt from VED and congestion charges.
