As the first F-Type customer cars left Jaguar Land Rover’s Castle Bromwich manufacturing facility, Jaguar revealed that contracts worth £2.8 billion have been agreed with suppliers.
Of the 270 companies awarded contracts, 116 are based in the UK – 50% are from the Midlands.
Over the past 24 months, helped by the arrival of the F-Type, Jaguar Land Rover has created close to 9,000 jobs in the UK. In the greater automotive supply chain, the F-Type contracts are expected to create “thousands” more openings for skilled workers in the coming months.
