Ssangyong has boosted its range in the UK with the arrival of the seven-seater Turismo. Measuring 5m-long, and with a wheelbase of 3m, there is no shortage of space in the SUV; even when fully occupied there is space for 875 litres of luggage.
Pitched between the likes of the Ford Galaxy, and van-derived people-carriers such as Hyundai’s i800, Turismo will “blend multi-role flexibility with great ride comfort and the appointments and equipment levels of a luxury saloon” according to the Korean manufacturer.
The car’s 2-litre diesel engine offers 153bhp and a maximum torque of 360Nm, and is mated to a five-speed T-Tronic automatic transmission from Mercedes-Benz. Rear-drive dominates the range, but the Turismo EX comes equipped with four-wheel-drive.
Prices for the Turismo – which offers an unlimited mileage, 5-year warranty – start at £17,995, and the car is on sale now.
